Nisswa (/ n sw / niss-w ) is a town/city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States.

According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 18.34 square miles (47.50 km2), of which 10.78 square miles (27.92 km2) is territory and 7.56 square miles (19.58 km2) is water. As of the census of 2010, there were 1,971 citizens , 876 homeholds, and 607 families residing in the city.

There were 1,474 housing units at an average density of 136.7 per square mile (52.8/km2).

The ethnic makeup of the town/city was 97.7% White, 0.4% African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% from other competitions, and 0.6% from two or more competitions.

There were 876 homeholds of which 22.1% had kids under the age of 18 living with them, 61.8% were married couples living together, 5.1% had a female homeholder with no husband present, 2.4% had a male homeholder with no wife present, and 30.7% were non-families.

26.0% of all homeholds were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The average homehold size was 2.25 and the average family size was 2.69.

The median age in the town/city was 50.6 years.

18.2% of inhabitants were under the age of 18; 5.6% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 17.2% were from 25 to 44; 34.7% were from 45 to 64; and 24.4% were 65 years of age or older.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,953 citizens , 819 homeholds, and 577 families residing in the city.
